Lots. It makes me yearn for my own computer. Here at work i do not have the time to interact the way I want to, like sharing these playlists.

By the way; I dreamt about you... wink

Oh yeah? What happened?

And good that you didn't do the b-sides in chronological order; cuz that doesn't work, does it?

No, not very well. But I did do them in roughly backwards chronological order and I find that it works much better. A good companion to the singles disc.

It took weeks until I had the right playing order...

I dreamt we were part of a modern day Beatles.

I watched the Anthology series on DVD (awesome) and then listened to the cd's.

So I kind of dreamt the way we met (!) and then started a group, recording many classics.
I had a recording studio in AMsterdam and we hopped to Detroit to YOUR studio and had lots of musical fun.

Very weird, as it was rather detailed and all. Wendy and Lisa were in the band (won't tell you the name until it becomes reality) and Susan Rogers was our techie.

Why do you have to ruin a perfectly creative, thoughtful thread like that? You certainly seem to enjoy looking down on others for their taste. confuse

I guess it's not fair to pick on him either. But I wasn't asking what people think of Bjork.

I was presenting a project that I worked hard on for those who are interested. If you don't like or know much about Bjork, this thread really isn't for you. You'd have to be familiar with her music to really appreciate it.

u forgot Stormy Weather (w/ Joni Mitchell). and Crabcraft.

What... no "Heirloom"?!!! Sacrilige!

Nice artwork... I don't care for the selection of tracks... For example, I would never listen to disc 4, and radio edits annoy me... and without I Miss U (forgethenameofthemix Part 2) and the Skunk Anansie remix of Army of Me... ya killin' me!!!

I tried to find a place for Heirloom but there was no room.

What is Crabcraft? I don't have Stormy Weather.

And I used radio edits so I could fit everything that was a single on one disc. It's not meant to be full versions, just an overview like the Volumen dvd. I didn't use any duplicates of songs, so there's no room for the remixes you're speaking of. They're already on the singles disc. I tried to fit as many different songs on as I could.

Disc 4 is meant as a collection of odds and ends.

Crabcraft is the instrumental of Heirloom. In all actuality, I think crabcraft is by a different artist. The music is IDENTICAL to heirloom. When the early version of Vespertine started floating around, a friend of mine had one of those promo labels (with typed titles)... it's too early in the morning for me to remember what those are properly called. The point is (do i have one?!?) Heirloom was titled "Crabcraft" so it makes u wonder...

Stormy Weather is floating around out there, quality is not as good as Gloomy Sunday (because that was properly released on that Stormy Weather promo cd)... but I know it's out there... I was at that show. Bjork performed it without her shoes on... as most of the people at the show had no idea who Bjork was (this was pre-Selmasongs/Dancer In The Dark), it was quite shocking to the audience.

do you really think that most people didn't know who Bjork was before Selmasongs/Dancer In The Dark?

unless you were in a crowd of people over the age of 60, i find that hard to believe.

I was in a crowd with lots of veterans... She looked like a fool amongst that crowd as well. The evening was a benefit concert with female music stars (Stevie Nicks, Gwen Stefani, Joni Mitchell, a few country stars, Sheryl Crow...etc.) all wearing these GORGEOUS vintage gowns... out comes Bjork, shoeless, wearing something that looked like it was purchased in a thrift store. She did not go over very well at the show either. I was just starting to get into her at the time, and I was not impressed. Most people laughed at her. It didn't stop her, and that says WHAT!

There's loads of people unaware of Bjork. Just like many people are not aware Prince is stil alive, recording AND touring.

Who cares about what u said!

What really matters, is I was there and u weren't... What the fuck is so hard to believe about a room full of people not knowing who Bjork is?!? I guess it's that same mentality that is on this board that every time Prince takes a shit, we should all worship it. Feel free, but some of us can think for ourselves.

yeah, really, no kidding. i'm with you on that last part. but who cares about what i said? well, i thought you might, since you took the time to answer me twice, but perhaps i was mistaken.

but my point was that you implied the majority of people only know Bjork now because of Dancer in the Dark and the soundtrack? i don't think so.

Not the soundtrack... I meant after that movie came out, she received a lot more mainstream exposure (winning the Palm D'or at Cannes, the swan dress, the Oscar nomination/Performance, the SNL spoof, the Ellen/Emmy's spoof of the swan dress... yadda yadda...

Plus, she Bjorked me!

The respect, intellect and creativity you put into these projects (not to mention the time and money) are awesome. The results represent a labor of love and it is evident in the listening.
