My beautiful, wonderful, absolutely fabulously perfect Bjork collection :D I've been working on this on and off for over a month and I finally have it how I want it. It lost a lot of resolution in the transfer, but you get the basic idea. Each of the cd's is on a 90 minute disc and I put them in a 4 disc case. Basically, I wanted to collect most of her songs all in one place. They're divided into 4 categories:
I: Single edits II: Album track alternate versions (remixed, redone, live, etc.) III: B-Sides IV: Rare songs Almost every song from her studio albums is here except a handful that don't have remixes or official live versions. I think it's pretty comprehensive and I'm real proud of myself and stuff. What do ya think? [This message was edited Mon Oct 13 0:04:21 PDT 2003 by TRON]

The evolution of the mixed tape... it's also quite therapeutic. to wrap your brain around something like that and obssess on it and figure it out and get it perfect. then make it, listen to it, and think "i can make this better" and start over

Remember sitting there with your finger on the pause button so you could cut it off at the right time only to discover you fucked up and have to sit there and record the whole song again to get it right? The Family Tree should have been something like what you've compiled. Very very nice.

I agree. It was nice but pretty limited. All it was really good for was a couple alternate versions and the strings discs. I would've liked something more complete like this. She did an amazing job with the live set though.

This is beautiful.
I still have the playlists at home. Did you cut away two entire cd's.

I still have the playlists at home. Did you cut away two entire cd's. This isn't that project. Those lists I gave you were just all the rarities I'd assembled. This is my proper Bjork box set for repeated listening. So you like it huh?

Lots. It makes me yearn for my own computer. Here at work i do not have the time to interact the way I want to, like sharing these playlists. By the way; I dreamt about you...

And good that you didn't do the b-sides in chronological order; cuz that doesn't work, does it?

No, not very well. But I did do them in roughly backwards chronological order and I find that it works much better. A good companion to the singles disc.
