PBS' Blues series

Did anyone (besides me) watch any of the the "The Blues" on PBS last week?

I caught a few episodes and liked:

The first night when the dude went to Mali to see if contemporary African musicians could jam with a blues player

The one set in Memphis and the chitlin' circuit. It was great seeing Ike Turner and some of the other classic figures still playing. For those who saw this segment: could you believe the ass on that dancer?

I didn't like the one set in England. C'mon, Tom Jones? and the rest of them were so long winded...

I was wondering why no one mentioned this series. I watched it with rapt interest. . .I thought it was great the way the different directors had different viewpoints on the blues. My favorites were the first night, the B.B.King/chitlin' circuit segment (and yes, that girl gives "Doin' the Butt" new meaning lol), the segment with Chuck D and Common (well, I also have a THANG for fine-ass Common) and the last night spotlighting piano players.

I guess more folks here are more interested in things like "How often do YOU shave your nuts?" or Mariah's comeback, than in discussing music.
