just found out that david bowie has added yet another date, 16 jan., to the rosemont theatre. so, he is now playing three nights here! does this mean the 2nd show sold out too?

I don't think the second show sold out, though I could be wrong. There's been absolutely no notification for the third Chicago show, and I came across this info quite by accident last night. Pretty odd...I don't think he's doing three-night stints in any other city, is he?
