Oh, Exploited too.

I got aggravated with them on the "Live at the White House" album when the singer said:

"Fuck you, Jello Biafra... you fucking cunt!"

Dead Kennedys were my FAVORITE band and that really made me stop listening to The Exploited. Silly, but true.

I can't believe you listen to Jello. biggrin

He's a pretty big fucking liberal, but I absolutely LOVE the Dead Kennedys and I like a lot of what he had to say.

biggrin

Siouxsee and the Banshees
The Smiths
PIL
X
Sex Pistols
The The
Iggy and The Stooges
Kate Bush
Bowie
Sugar Cubes

Dead Can Dance

Stuff like that... biggrin

Great to see JFA and Stiff Little Fingers on the list.

and we have discussed ALL and the Descendents before.

Two MAJOR bands you left out though...

The Buzzcocks and TSOL.

Where's MC5 or X?

Reagan Youth?
Television?
The Vibrators?
Wire?
Flipper?

Then Dagnasty and Down By Law for somewhat newer stuff. Im just a sucker for Dave Smalley though.

SOME people don't think the MC5 'rocks out' quite enough... wink

BUT I DO...and X is on the thread...look up biggrin

Check this out...

On Thursday October 30th at 7:30 pm, the Detroit Film Theatre will host the premiere of MC5 * A True Testimonial, the new documentary film on the legendary Detroit group that became the house band of the Grande Ballroom during the late 1960s. The MC5 fused the liberating spirit of music with the politics of rebellion, and delivered the soundtrack to a generation bent on change. MC5 * A True Testimonial celebrates the timeless story of five working-class friends who came together with a singular vision: to change their world through rock and roll.

Tickets are $10 general admission and will go on sale in the Theater Box Office Friday, October 3rd. Tickets will also be available at the DIA museum Box Office in the Farnsworth entrance, or by phone (313) 833-4005 through October 17th only. No reservations or discount coupons will be accepted for this special screening.

No one is mentioning The Stooges either (except for me) mr.green

Redd Kross
Youth Brigade
Gorilla Biscuits
The Vandals
Supersuckers
Cryptic Slaughter
Crumbsuckers
Gang of Four
Fugazi
The Necros
Agent Orange
Ludichrist

They started out when they were young... one of them was only 14 on their first album... they were originally a punk-ish band.

...then they went all weird and psychedlic and stuff.

I also like a lot of bands you listed also, Ice! I'm surprised you didn't list any Boston bands:

Negative Fx
Ganggreen
The F.U.s
Jerry's Kids
SSD
The Proletriat(not really punk/hc)

I recommend getting theThis is Boston, not L.A. comp which has most of these bands and is a classic.

I also like a lot of Intl. Bands particularly from Japan like:

Comes
Kuro
The Stalin
Gauze
GISM

For more info go to this site.I've contributed to this site, btw:
