The name of the song is "Save The Day" and it was produced by Steve Morales. People mostly know him for his dance tracks.

Funny. Now I'm curious about how it sounds. My best friend was engaged to Morales's songwriting partner, and most of the demos I ever heard from them back in the day were ballads. Tell me, is "Save the Day" really worth a listen, or should I pass this one up?

No it's alctually pretty good, short pop tune with a very catchable chorus and nice lyrics and arrangement, and the vocals are cool! Almost 80's sounding
