Music They Play When You Are Dead.

Been very busy putting together my bye-bye party.

Sounds very macabre, but I rather have them do it RIGHT.

Musically I have opted for;

John Lennon; Across THe Universe Anthology version

and

Serenade for Winds, K. 361; 3rd Movement by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as performed on the Amadeus soundtrack.

good thought there...

I don't know what I'd want played during the "memorial service." However, all my close friends know that afterwards I expect them to dance to Fools Gold by the Stone Roses. I may be gone, but they'll be able to find me in that beat.

Ooooh, fantastic choice.

I don't think I'd want music played at all. Everything I'm coming up with is too melodramatic or overwrought. Hell, just play "Ace of Spades" by Motorhead, that'll do.

My ceremony will be pretty simple. As you enter the arena, you'll be handed a maglite. Just the small ones, I'm not wealthy. As the last straggler walks into the place, the lights go out, and "EVERYBODY'S GOT A LITTLE LIGHT UNDER THE SUN" will kick off the 12" version of FLASH LIGHT.

Sure. No one will understand the meaning, but who gives a fuck. It's my funeral. I want my shoebox (I'll be ashes) placed on one of the huge subwoofers so I can feel that bass line.

Treasure by The Cure

She whispers
"Please remember me
When I am gone from here"

She whispers
"Please remember me
but not with tears...

Remember I was always true
Remember that I always tried
Remember I loved only you
Remember me and smile...
For it’s better to forget
Than to remember me
And cry"

I was at a funeral the day i realized
I wanted to spend my life with you
Sitting down on the steps at the
old post office
The flag was flying at half-mast
And i was thinking' bout how
everyone is dying

And maybe it's time to live

I don't know where we're going
I don't know what we'll do

Walked in to the Thrif-tee
Saw the man with the hollow eyes
who didn't give me all my change
But it didn't bother me this time
'cause I know I've only got
this moment
And it's good
I went to the gas station
Old woman honked her horn
Waiting for me to fix her car

I don't know where we're going
I don't know what we'll do

Laying in bed tonight I was thinking
and listening to all the dogs
and the sirens and the shots
And how a careful man tries
to dodge the bullets
While a happy man takes a walk

And maybe it's time to live

Only if you die in April

Nonsense. The song isn't titled "Sometimes you DIE in April" and the lyrics aren't about dying in April. They're about odd things happening that you don't expect to happen... LIKE dying when you don't expect someone to die.

It's fun to see what people want to tell the ones that are left by the music they chose.

I am with Darin; but I want to make them cry very hard first and then send them off to a party where they can get plastered and dance and eat.
