Erykah Badu the cd was just released here on monday but i heard quite a few negative reviews from here amoungst other places about it. i brought it anyway cos i have all of her albums and theres always a few tracks i love. i really loved the new cd, if anyone hasnt brought it yet id recommend it, i wasnt feeling bag lady that much compared to baduizm and the live thing, but this album is more my thing.
what did everyone else think ?

you mean mama's gun (not bag lady).
I personally think mama's gun is a classic. this new cd is a fun cd, nothing deep but entertaining.

what did everyone else think ? I think it's better than Mama's Gun (sorry RhondaB), but there's nothing on it as good as "Bag Lady" or anything on "Baduizm". A solid album all the same. Good to see her experimenting and trying new/different things when everyone else is still churning out their last album.

I'm English. We say "sorry" all the time. It's in our genes. We don't mean it though. And it's not just this place that's weird ... we're in cyberspace where nothing is what it seems and no one is real.

Sorry to anyone in advance who thinks otherwise.
"Worldwide Underground" is the most disappointing album of the year. It's not even a fun record. I listened to it and thought of a self-indulgent artist who thinks she can just put out anything and be praised for it because she's in love with her own image. I hate to be hard on one of my very favorite artists, who in my mind made two of the best albums of the last decade or so. I was so mad on the first listen that I haven't put the CD in since. I probably need to give it a try. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
