Am I the only one who thinks Radiohead SUCK??? I HATE Radiohead! Seriously, how can people stomach their music? They're often compared to the Floyd, but the BIG difference is that Pink Floyd put real soul and poignancy into their lyrics. Radiohead have mastered the ability to make meaningless, random crap seem profound - they're the Pseudo-Floyd, and I'm amazed at the amount of people that have fallen for it. Tell me I'm not the only one!

I've tried but have never been able to get into them.
But they still intrigue me and I don't hate them.

I wouldn't say they suck, cuz there is far worse music out there, but I would definately concur that they are WAY over rated. All the gals say hoe if your man's giving up the gold. All the fellas say ruff if you're only giving up the bone.

No, I find their music very bland and boring. I guess I just don't "get it".

I have often been intrigued by their music, but you certainly have to be in the right mood to listen to it.
I currently only own one album, OK Computer, considered to be their masterpiece. It's ok, but I have many greater albums in my collection, no doubt. "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Pink Floyd did some very obscure and odd songs as well, back in the day they were using kitchen utensils to make sounds.

They deserve all the praise they get...all of it. I guess you can't make someone understand Chinese if they never learned the language...
Their music speaks to me in leaps and bounds, their lyrics are excellent if you take the time to listen. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Before tossing around a word like "hate", consider for a moment the musical genius that is Britney Spears...Milli Vanilli...98Degrees...I think you get the idea...
There are a lot of bands I don't "get", nor would I really care to listen to their music, but I appreciate their talent and the fact that they're trying to create something original. For example, I never could get into Pink Floyd. Don't really care for 'em. But I know they've had a huge influence on a lot of artists I DO like, so right on for them. Maybe the question I should ask is, what exactly is it that you HATE about Radiohead?

I agree with this completely, and that's saying something considering that I am a bit of a Radiohead fan! So, I hope that other Radiohead lovers bear this in mind when the read the rest of my post... I believe that in one of the UK music mags last year they did a survey of 20 GREATEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME and Radiohead had 2 albums in the top 5, and 3 listed in the top 10!!! I think that's insane... really. Who votes this stuff??? There's such a plethora of music that's been influential for decades, (Think: James Brown, The Beatles, Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Carole King, Rolling Stones, Santana, etc etc) that really should be occupying those sort of slots. I don't think that Radiohead suck, in fact they occupy a very special place in my music collection, and sometimes there's no other band that I'd rather hear. But I also believe that they seem to be one of those bands that are "cool" so everyone says that they love Radiohead and buy their albums even if they are not really naturally inclined towards their kind of sound. Just to be able to say that you have the albums on your shelf, know what I mean? Well, maybe that's a little harsh, but I've known people that are a bit like that about Radiohead... same deal when Oasis were a huge thing ... the media dictates what constitutes a MUST HAVE album... it's mostly all advertising. Eminem is kinda "it" at the moment. (See how long it lasts...). It's happened right throughout music history. Radiohead are one of those "iconic" bands for modern pop culture, and everyone is led to believe that if you don't own OK Computer or The Bends, then you've got absolutely NO IDEA about music ... so you betta just jump aboard and save yourself from audio heresy ... Shame that sometimes the bandwagon is mistaken for genius.

I dig a lot of their shit, it's just that they've been somewhat over hyped/exposed. I find most of their material far more enjoyable that 90% of the shit that gets shoved down our throat whenever we turn on the radio, I guess some of our ears are more evolved than others. I've never really investigated their music, but it seems to be something I'd like. On the contrary, I can't stand Pink Floyd.

I LOVE Radiohead. Truly one of the great innovative yet commercially successful bands with a massive influence on modern pop music. "OK Computer" might be my favourite album of all times, but I love them all. By the way, the songs are also beautiful. Listen to "The Bends"! See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star...

But hey, its cool, some people just cant understand their music.. That's always the way it goes... whenever I say I can't stand Radiohead, the fan tells me that I'm just not smart enough to appreciate them, and that they're so obviously right that it's not even an issue worth debating.
