Which George Clinton died?

I have heard 3 times in the past 4 days that George Clinton passed away and I have googled to see who it is and I can't find anything. I know if it was THE George Clinton this place would be in an uproar!

confuse

I know who you're talking about and this is the first I've heard of such news. Everyone's been confusing George Plimpton with George Clinton since Plimpton died. I think it's weird - people need ta get the corn outta their damn ears.

That was George Benson ya big dummy. The Isley Bros should have been honoured first seeing as they were in town anyways... and George Clinton & P-Funk Allstars would be better inductees than a JT Taylorless Kool & The Gang. Ah well that's the Music Of Buffoon Origin Awards for you...
