What happened to Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer's careers?

In the early 90s they were supposed to rule the rap-pop world and suddenly... nothing!
last thing that I've heard of Hammer was his single on The Addams Family 2 soundtrack

Vanilla ice...lack of talent. MC Hammer...overexposure + the advent/acceptiblity of "gangsta rap". IMHO anyway.

:nod:According to the Hammer movie on VH1, the death of Tupac and another one of Hammer's childhood friends turned him back to the church.

Hammer had the case of "I need a large entourage to feel important" syndrome. They were sucking him dry. Then the populairty faded, as well as his checks.
