50 cent buys Mike Tyson's pad Rapper 50 Cent has purchased a Connecticut mansion that once belonged to former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.
The rapper, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, bought the 4,320-square-metre mansion for $4.1 million, according to records on file with the town clerk. The property, which includes a 52-room home, servants' quarters and a boathouse, was bought from Tyson's ex-wife, Monica Turner Tyson. The fighter signed the house over to her for $US1 in 2002 as part of a divorce settlement. Tyson purchased the house in 1996 for $US 2.7 million. 50 Cent's music draws on his dangerous past, when he hustled crack growing up in a gritty neighbourhood in the Queens section of New York City. He has been shot nine times and stabbed. He's involved in a fierce rap rivalry with Ja Rule and his Murder Inc. crew, and police say he was threatened after the murder of rapper Jam Master Jay. Local police told The Herald of New Britain they have taken note of his history. "He is a citizen and we are concerned for his safety as well as the safety of the public," said police Capt. James Rio. ** I think its funny that 50 cent now has servants quarters** ---------------------------------

The good thing about the servant's quarters is this: the way things are going for Iron Mike, if 50 has a heart, Mike could always have job and a place to stay. It would be good for 50 to have some household help familiar with the layout, don't you think?

sheeyit. Fitty better take notes on Iron Mike. I'm sure he'll be selling that mansion to the flavor of the weak in no time... no offense to Fitty, but, blowing 4.7 mil on a crib, on the third year of your career, won't keep you rich.

That's all I'm saying. Could be that he's a better investor than he is a rapper.
