Rolling Stone gives Outkast album only 3 stars!

This sux, and proves Rolling Stone should be burned. Certainly this is the album of the year, or close to it. Even Come got 3 and a half stars.

They also gave Badu's new album only 2 stars!! They obviously hate black music. Fuckers.
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

TRON

Read Allmusicguide instead. They're much more enjoyable. RollingStone lost it years ago.

nobody takes RS seriously anymore. probably not since the mid 90's has anyone given it serious thought. the magazine is complete shite. there are real music mags out there that are taken with a bit more than a grain of salt. rolling stone is not one of them. lol.

I don't think they hate black music, but I DO think they've got NO FUCKIN' TASTE WHATSOEVER.

Outkast's newbie is a MASTERPIECE, and the Badu album is great.

Only buy Rolling Stone if you don't believe in toilet paper.

Anxiety

This is the same magazine that not only featured the Olsen Twins on the cover a few weeks ago, but also excluded Prince from their list of 100 greatest guitarists. They lost the plot a long time ago, but every time I think I've seen this rag at its worst, it sinks to a new low.

The NY Daily News thought that Speakerboxxx was better than Love Below. They said Dre's album was full of dilletantism.

"Dilletantism" is the the the buzz word of the year in alt music critic circles. Its appearance in practically any CD review in the last six months and for the next few years to come invariably will say more about the reviewer and their attempt to budge their way into the Pazz & Jop line-up (not that that's difficult) than about the music they're supposed to be reviewing.

They used to say the same thing about Prince whenever he wandered beyond the boundaries they had set for him.

Indeed. The label of "virtuoso", often applied by his fans for Prince's skill playing several instruments, implies being a dilletante.

There's a segment of Orgers who tend to look for validation from Rolling Stone.
