DM - SOME DEVIL

I know there is not a lot of Dave Matthews fans on this board but just got his new solo cd today (along with Outkast), and it is great!! Both cds were $11.88 and both were two discs!! what a deal for my ears and wallet. DM comes with an extra disc of 5 live tracks, one recorded in my hometown worship

Pick it up if you like good music

I bought this disc today as well, along with the new Outkast and the new Elvis Costello. I've only listened to the Elvis Costello so far, which was quite good and inspired a new song out of me- yet, it could've been a little better too. I think it'll grow on me.

I haven't heard the Dave Matthews yet, but I'm looking forward to listening to it. I was a little worried about a solo album from him, thinking it probably wouldn't be as interesting as much of his work with the band- but after scanning the album credits and seeing that most tracks had horns and a string section on them, let's just say I'm really interested to hear what he's done. It could be really good.

Now though, I think it's time to play Outkast!

OK, I listened to it, and I have to say I found it quite disappointing. There were about 7 tracks I liked, but didn't truly love, and 7 that I thought weren't worthy of making an album. As a whole, this album is weaker than any album he did with the band, including Everyday, which is underrated.

I did like "Gravedigger" and "Save Me" quite a bit though. Those are the standout tracks for me.
