i love this cover. have yet to purchase the album though. can anyone tell me who did the art work for it? looks familiar to me; there's a japanese artist whose name is not coming to mind yet; and i was wondering if this was her art work as well. what other David Bowie covers are your favourites? i also love the cover for his recent best of compilation.

thank you Aaron. i feel David Bowie is as much a visual artist as he is a musican. however not nearly credited enough as others. do you feel the same?

when he does get credit, it's often a backhanded compliment. the word "chameleon" is overused in describing what he does with his music and image and presentation.

I too love the art for the new album. It fits well with the abstract feel of the titles and is a nice play on "Reality". The rough brush strokes and shapes are a great fit with "Pablo Picasso".

Rex Ray also did the album cover art for the recent "Best of Bowie" CD, and if I'm not mistaken, Rex Ray (who I am not sure is a "he" or a "they") also did the cover art for Bowie's "...hours" albums. I've also noticed that Rex Ray has also done a lot of cover artwork for The Residents.

My two choices as well. You should definitely get his ne album Venus. Great stuff. As usual. Try HMV or Virgin for the special edition :WINK:
