So other than the ear melting ambrosia that was the new Outkast album, I was also excited to get the new album by Peaches, "Fatherfucker", today...anyone else hear this? The first track cracks me up (she's been doing that "Bad Reputation" chant live for a long time), and the duet with Iggy Pop is cute, though it reminds me of his duet w/ Debbie Harry of "Did You Evah" on "Red Hot + Blue"...kinda precious, but it's okay because it's the Iggster.

Generally, on first listen I found it to be kinda on the short side, and a bit one-trick-pony-ish. If you liked her first album and want to hear one JUST EXACTLY LIKE IT, you'll be happy. And yeah, I liked the first one...and I don't dislike this one...but other than being smutty skanky fun, it's not particularly challenging or surprising in any way.

Funny, since I've been hyping her up to anyone who'll pretend to listen. I'm more excited about seeing her in October than I am about Grandaddy -- although I can't WAIT for their dose of electronic trucker countryrock, don't get me wrong.

Peaches fucked the shit outta me last year, and I need more. I'm a whore like that.
