CLARE FISCHER NEWS HELLO ORGHEADS:
So some of you know that I had contacted Clare not too long ago in regards to his work with P. I put them on to the fact some of us here are true "fans" of the work they (he and P) have done. Since then, his super nice wifey has been sending me emails and updates on Clare. Here is the latest: Please support the brother. We all know alot of P's work wouldn't be the same without his timeless arrangements. ….Three bits of news to report all at one time: FIRST ….FINALLY, NOW YOU CAN PAY WITH CREDIT CARDS. We still can’t accept credit cards here, but Clare’s 7 most recent CDs are now listed on the CDBaby website - www.cdbaby.com/clarefischer and they do accept credit cards. You will still be able to purchase CDs, books and music directly from Clare at www.clarefischer.com , but wanted you to know about this other option too. SECOND….Advance Music has just released the printed music for Clare’s arrangement of the “Air from the String Suite in D” by J.S. Bach that he wrote for his album, “On a Turquoise Cloud” last year – even his improvised piano solo is included. The music is available for clarinet choir – both the score and parts for $25. If you are interested, send me an e-mail, and I will order them all at one time to save on shipping costs. THIRD….Clare will be performing at The Jazz Bakery on Monday, October 27 with his Clarinet Choir. All of the details are displayed on his website, so click here at www.clarefischer.com and then click “Current Events.” Because we will be celebrating Clare’s 75th birthday that night, be sure to mark you calendar now so you won’t miss the fun and the great music. We both send you our best wishes for a wonder-filled autumn - full of color, love and music - wherever you are! Clare and Donna www.clarefischer.com clarefischer@thegrid.net

I always though Clare Fischer was a woman ! shameful for a old head like me We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Maya Angelou
