Sisqo Arrested For Shooting At Car R&B singer Sisqo was arrested last week after he allegedly shot at a car from the front porch of his home and resisted arrest, Baltimore County, Md., police said. The 27-year-old singer, whose real name is Mark Andrews, was arrested Sept. 13 and charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest.
A man visiting a neighbor early that day told police that a man started firing at his vehicle while he was sitting in his vehicle. No one was injured in the shooting. Police said they found two 9 mm shell casing on Andrews' front porch and a bullet in his foyer. According to the Baltimore Sun, Andrews told police he was in his home recording studio at the time of the shooting. But when a crime technician tested his hands for gunpowder, Andrews admitted he had fired the gun. Andrews was released on bail. No court date has been set. Copyright 2003 Associated Press. Update: Thong" Master Sisqo in a Bind www.eonline.com by Joal Ryan Sep 19, 2003, 2:30 PM PT And you thought Sisqó's greatest crime was making the "Thong Song" so insanely catchy. Police in Maryland, however, beg to differ. The 24-year-old R&B singer, whose cheerfully risqué celebration of barely there underwear made him a 2000 chart-topper, is facing a felony assault charge after allegedly firing a 9mm handgun at a man getting into his car in Baltimore County, Maryland, officials there said. Sisqó, booked under his given name Mark Althaven Andrews, was arrested in the pre-dawn hours of Sept. 13. The onetime Pepsi pitchman is currently free on $175,000 bail. Per a Baltimore County Police Department report, witnesses said they heard two to three gunshots fired from Sisqó's home at about 3:30 a.m., on Sept. 13. One neighbor told police "he didn't think anything of it since [Sisqó] has done this approximately three times before over the summer months." But one man, a bail bondsman, reportedly did think something of it. He called police and told officers he heard a "loud 'pop pop' sound" as he headed to his car after attending a party in Sisqó's neighborhood. He piled his wife and friend into the vehicle and drove away when he feared the "pop pops" were aimed at them. According to the report, the bail bondsman told cops he recognized the gunman as Sisqó, "a famous music entertainer," in police parlance, whom the witness described as his sister's neighbor and a former management client of his ex-brother-in-law. When police visited Sisqó's pad, they allegedly found two empty 9mm shell casings in front of the house, a 9mm bullet on the floor inside in the foyer and a literally smoking gun on the kitchen counter, the report said. Sisqó, dressed as the witness had described (white tank top and dark shorts), told officers he owned a gun but hadn't shot it that night. Later, a woman in the home, Terra Nikki Thomas, allegedly explained Sisqó was edgy from death threats recently made against him and that he had shot at people across the street in order to shoo them. "I tried to explain to [Thomas] that you can't go shooting at someone because [you] feel threatened," the arresting officer wrote. Both Sisqó and Thomas were arrested but not without some alleged extra effort. Police claimed Sisqó tried to give the handcuffs the slip and that Thomas cussed out officers. A call to Sisqó's publicist seeking comment was not immediately returned Friday. In addition to the felony count, Sisqó is accused of four misdemeanor violations: second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace. Thomas was facing charges of second-degree assault, resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer. Sisqó received a bail hearing on Sept. 14, and was released shortly after, Officer Shawn Vinson of the Baltimore County Police said. It was not known if pleas were entered by either Sisqó or Thomas. Prosecutors were out of the office Friday, waiting out Hurricane Isabel. Sisqó, listed in the police report at a slight five feet tall, is a Baltimore native who first measured up as a member of the R&B group Dru Hill. He'll next be seen in the indie Thanksgiving comedy Pieces of April, with Katie Holmes, opening Oct. 17. [This message was edited Sun Sep 21 9:59:02 PDT 2003 by sosgemini] Space for sale...

But Maxx, in order to sell it used (btw, I'm sure most record stores would reject it or give you a dollar), wouldn't people have had to buy it in the first place. What is the expression about not being famous enough to be arrested? You can't even get arrested in this town? Something like that. Well I guess Sisqo proved them wrong, though it is worth noting the frist time they printed this story on the AP or whatever they mispelled his name in the title as Sisquo.
