Still, Badu gets in touch with her own idenity which is good 2 hear always!

I won't, simply cuz I have faith that it'll grow on you. My brotha said the same goddamn thang 2 me 2day, I don't really understand how you two mofos can't dig this lol

I kinda understood where u came from when you stated yo opinion about "Mama's Gun" cuz fom what I understand you can't get into the whole "stripped-down" production. But this is different, man! this is tightly produced(I mean c'mon now, what do you have to say about the production?) very on point and highly programmed(if its not too much programming since Badu would be nothing without her "organic" sound, of course with the help from her musicians/friends).

I would back yo ass up if you complained about how short it is nod now its yo turn to convince me why you can't dig it, nigga wink

Pff lol right now, I think of the stereotypicial saying about us black folks being the hardest to please lol

Hell yeah! You know you can't please niggaz!!! lol Anyway, as far as the production is concerned, it just sounds like some tracks that were intended for Mama's Gun. Musically or vocally, I don't hear any difference. The only standout track of the whole EP is "Danger."

Case and point, I know you love Chaka to death, right? If you listen to "I Feel For You" it sounds completely different than "Naughty" or even her self-titled debut. I was just looking for Erykah to step her game up a bit. I think the most successful artists have done that-Prince, Stevie, Chaka, Aretha-and they all have longevity. People are going to get easily bored if they keep hearing the same shit over and over again. IMHO, Erykah should've named this album Mama's Gat.

That's why I love OutKast so damn much. Them niggaz never stay the same and are always exploring what's out the box. Their debut album sounds nothing like what's about to drop. Dre even said that "hip-hop is boring right now and never knows what he's going to do the next minute." You got to keep changin' man. That's what it's all about.

Anyway, I hope I didn't stray you too far away from my P.O.V. wink

Oh shit lol right now, I'm more than positive that you didn't listen to Mama's Gun nor even Baduizum disbelief "World Wide Underground" is def different(If not that groundbreaking nor that influential) but its def has its own "sound".

Erykah is a 100% "Chameleon" you could def sense the change and maturity in her effort(whether its lyrics wise, vocal wise or production wise).

But I ain't gotta shove shit down yo throat, I'm damn sure that it'll grow in you someway nod wink

As far as Andre goes? All I have to say is *rubbing my hands in excitment" woot!

I ain't that deep into Outkast's stuff to be honest but I always give credit 2 my brothas 4 being "original" and just str8-damn-sick-and-twisted headbang like Badu said "You can't fuck with that, so leave it alone"

Well damn! eek I guess you told me! lol Nah, but seriously, there definitely is a difference between Baduizm and Mama's Gun, but not with this one. I'll still give it a few more listens, but I honestly don't hear the progression.

Exactly. I can't stop singing:"I,I,I, Want You, You You You.." Man the whole thing is off the hook! Raw like Mama's Gun and tight grooves. I like how everything segues into each other

I agree again. Perfect length. I like albums where you want to listen to them again. Not wonder when it will be over.
