Absolutely! The White Album is one of the most awesome albums ever made by anybody.
I can't imagine a Beatles hater exists that has heard this album. Most haters think it's all "Help" "Love Me Do" and "Can't Buy Me Love" pop-ditties. sad sad. "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring faith. If we crave some cosmic purpose, then let us find ourselves a worthy goal" - Carl Sagan

I've got "1". Speaking of Beatles, I'm reading "Party of One: The Loners' Manifesto" and I had no idea that Lennon was a "loner" and "aloof".

I will also say. My favorite Paul McCartney album ever is the "McCartney" album.. Its an excellent driving record, and it has simply aged wonderfully.. Its kindof home/garage sounding, but now its digitally remastered, and its an album for every beatle fan.

I'm always on a Beatles kick, and I agree Dawn...The White Album is one of their best (trades 1st place with Abbey Rooad with me constantly). The best Lennon ever did is on The White Album imo.

The White album is awesome. I think Lennon hit his peak as a writer from '66-'69.

I think that when paul was in the White album period to the time he left the Beatles with wings is when his best vocal performance was displayed. Check the Wings Over America.. He sings Maybe Im Amazed better than the origanel.. He could hit any note he wanted to at that period.. I think my favorite vocals could go like this (in no paticular order) Helter Skelter Monkberry Moonlight OOh You Maybe Im Amazed Beware My Love Somedays Here Today Why Dont We Do It In The Road Oh Darling really, its endless.. I'll post back on my favorite john and george tracks..

Prince would have been a lot less important in the 80's without the Beatles being forced on him by Wendy and Lisa. All you others say Hell Yea!!

I'm pretty sure he would've discovered them with or without W&L. [This message was edited Wed Sep 17 10:17:06 PDT 2003 by okaypimpn]

I tend to listen to The Anthologies alot, especially 2, Sgt. Pepper's, Rubber Soul, The Beatles1 and Revolver. My fave songs runs the gamit from their early teenybopper days to the serious we are about to break up period. They just have a rich catalog and weren't afraid to break out of the boxes that I'm sure they were placed in when they first took the world by storm, and especially USA. I'm more of a Lennon fan at heart, but the combo of he and Paul is timeless. I taped a radio station's A-Z of The Beatles which was a 10 hour show of all the singles, and some trivia. That's my first thing in the morning music. It's an amazing collection of work.
Fave Beatles remake: Baby It's You "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
