Also, there's a few Madonna albums in the house that belong to one of my housemates. The only one I own is Ray Of Light.

I've told you before that I quite like Madonna. Once all of her albums have been remastered I'll probably buy them again. She's just not a fave of mine, that's all.

Some memorable Madonna quotes from the last 20 years...

*"I'm tough,I'm ambitious and I know exactly what I want.If that makes me a bitch,okay"

*"I live for meetings with men in suits.I love them because I know they had a really boring week and I walk in there with my orange velvet leggings and drop popcorn in my cleavage and then fish it out and eat it.I like that.I know I'm entertaining them, and I know that they know".

*"I think that everyone should get married at least once,so you can see what a silly, outdated institution it is"

*"I've done eleven movies---twelve if you count "Truth Or Dare"---and I think that half of them are good and half of them are shit. But honestly,I can think of Academy Award-winning actors and actresses who have more done more shit films than I have"

*"I'm like a cockroach---you just can't get rid of me" smile

I just read that WB is still planning on releasing "Love Profusion" as the next single and that an official remix was made. There's some confusion cuz "Nothing Fails/Nobody Knows Me" has also been listed as the next single. It'd be fine by me if they both came out. Great choices.

My personal memory is when my best friend (RIP) introduced me to Madonna via her very first 12" "Everybody" one afternoon. This was before stardom hit. Then we would play a Punk record like CRASS. Than some Joy Division or Culture Club's first album.Than back to that Madonna 12".It was all good. smile

This will be a good collector's item to have. I have so many good memories of maddy--most of them are from the Virgin era...my favorite maddy era...I think my favorites are when the Borderline video came out and when Mark Goodman interview Maddy and she's twirling her hair saying "I want to conquer the world," and some MTV interview where Madonna talks about her upcoming album "Like a Virgin" and says "No comment from the peanut gallery." ...Truth or Dare and the Sex book was defintely another plus for me (and my dirty mind!)
Let the rain come down...17 days....

Something tells me there is no way this album is getting more than 3 singles (in fact, I'm almost doubting 3 at this point). I think the only way to go is "Nothing Fails". Most people and critics agree that this is the album's highlight. "Love Profusion" is good but nothing exciting. And it's already a commerical? BTW, where did you read this. I can't find any good Madonna message boards!

I think my favorite moments has to be anything that didn't happen this year. It's all kind of dissapointing. No singles on the radio, pulled her long awaited video, kissing Britney (and Christina), shaky unplugged appearances, and a Gap commerical (ok, that wasn't terrible). I don't mind the children's book so much but it seems like she is ignoring her music fans.

So,now we have remixes for "Nothing Fails","Nobody Knows Me" and "Love Profusion"?...lol...not sure what the next "official" single is gonna be,but there is a rumor that these remixes will appear on the upcoming box set.One of the discs is expected to be a remix CD.

I love all three of those songs, but if I had to choose only one to be the next single,I'd go with "Nobody Knows Me".That's a killer dance/club track with a relentless, pulsing beat. This would also be a great song to open her tour, dontcha think? (Assuming she tours next year).
