I'm already taking you to Fischerspooner - you're never satisfied, just like my mother! (who I promised I'd take to the show if Bowie came through Chicago, since it's her fault I'm into him in the first place...)

I'm not sure if the Vancouver presale tickets have gone on sale and sold out, or if they have yet to go on sale. I just joined bowienet today, for the reason of getting presale tickets, but I haven't recieved a password or anything like that for Vancouver. Anyone know what's going on?

I just got an e-mail about an hour ago that links to a webpage announcing the North American dates, and at the bottom of the page is a link to the password for pre-sale tix.

Awww, and I love ya too, kid. If it's any consolation, Fischerspooner will get naked and Bowie won't.

What seats did you get? I got near the front of the first balcony section, dead center. I coulda gone with pricier seats, but I figured in the front of the first balcony was better than getting near the back of the floor.

The way they set it up was fucked up though. They kept saying to check the sight at noon. I kinda figured that it would be about tour dates so I checked Ticketmaster too. I noticed that some listings were already up by 10. But the email and news updates on bowienet didn't come til almost 1. The password was even later. So I was sure that I was missing out on the best seats. But somehow I ended up with row E. Don't ask me how. Cuz it was a mess.

I haven't bought my tickets through bowienet but have read some comments about the ticket situation over there and a lot of people seem to be unhappy.
In retrospect, I have to say that I think the NPGMC did quite well with the tickets last year. There were some problems in the beginning when the tickets were sold through ticketmaster and later the NPGMC server was just too slow for the traffic, but all members got in front.

ok...so, getting back to bowie...
congrats on the tickets, i'm green right now...don't know if its from envy or sick that i did not join a month ago! oh well, hopefully i can still get seats from the public on sale, otherwise i will be visiting my local ticket broker, lol! From the concerts onsale so far, there doesn't seem to be any consistency to the types of venues he's playing. Some are huge arenas and others are theatres. I wonder how he's deciding where he's playing in each city. Can anyone tell me what the Rosemont Theatre is like?

I'm happy with where I'm sitting - I don't necessarily like being up close in huge venues, because no matter how close I am, I never really feel "close" like if I were in a smaller venue. But then, my favorite seats at the Chicago Theatre are the balcony boxes, so maybe I'm just into distance all around...or else I'm just nearsighted.
I'm also happy with how the ticket transaction went for me today, other than the fact that I had to deal with TicketBastard and I knew that would mean a thorough bleeding of my funds...

TRON said: Have you ever been to this place before? What's it like? Never been - I usually avoid mega-large venue shows like the plague, but I had to make an exception for Bowie this time around, after hearing about the crazy multi-media stage show elements and being as hyped up about "Reality" as I've been...it could be located in a hog pen and I'd be pleased as punch.

The fact that it has a balcony though makes me think it can't be that big. Maybe 3 to 5 thousand tops. I'll do some venue research to see.

Okay, I just read that the Rosemont Theatre is usually used for plays and such. It holds approx. 4,400. So that's not too bad. At least it's not the United Center.

WHOOHOO! I got my tickets!! First section, first row! Off to the side, but my friend has had similar seats, but a few rows further back, and claims that they're excellent.
I've been jumping up and down for the past four hours, I'm so excited!

Does 9/27 mean that's when tix go on sale for the general public? If so, I'll have to skip my next union/strike meeting! TRON said: Okay, here is the full US tour itinerary as posted on Bowienet.
