Mary J's new album is doooope!

YEAHH!! That shit is hottt.

Forreal I thought, I hate the synthy production that P.Did has been responsible for lately and I wasn't even gonna cop this new Mary disc. I have ALL her other albums though, so you know how that go.

Hot damn!! Finally the "Queen of Hip Hop-Soul" returns with some fucken HIP HOP in her jams, and I don't mean that Swizz Beatz or Neptunes shit we heard on No More Drama. She actually replaced that synth shit with some samples and the album sounds fucken dope!

I think P. Did only does vocal production anyway, because the production credits are all shared with people who make beats, and Missy, The Neptunes, Jam and Lewis, Timabland, and R.Kelly DO NOT APPEAR on this album so it's refreshing!! That's what I hated about No More Drama I think the only "hot" producer on Love & Life is 1 track by Dr. Dre.

"When We" and "All My Love" are my personal favorites so far. This album has the rawness that was missing in the last release; Love & Life is sooo not a "radio" album.

wow... times have changed. people rooting for the return of Puffy Daddy and samples, and the departure of the likes of Missy, Neptunes, etc., and organic/original beats/music.

Puffy sounds like he is out of ideas on this one; and this sounds like a step backward for Mary. Every song on this track is unable to hold her vocally. Her voice has gotten far too developed and sophisticated in its intonation to be framed by weak samples and weak beats.

I agree, I was scared when I heard that he's going to work with her again after she gained her musical respect already. I was afraid that he'd flood her with samples and he did!

But then again, I don't really feel too concern about it cuz the most thang I love about Mary vocaly or musicaly is she neva holds back with any producer she work with and that is good news.

Hope miss thang comes up with another mature, sophisticated yet fun effort such as 1999's "Mary" nod

BTW She's crying in the middel of "A.M.", not weeping but crying. Listen carefuly(I maybe said this 100 times b4 but I don't care) I'm so overwhelmed by her pre4mance in that song. Makes no wonder why people find it so beautiful!

Did you see the DVD? This is a special treat, Max! seeing Mary cussing and arguing with Puff was so worth it. Funny stuff!

However, It would've been intersting to hear the Floetry-produced cut. I'm not that into them but I like their stuff with other folks!
