That's a great album too. I tripped on Daddy's Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car a lot - I identified a lot with the lyrics. It was always my impression that the point of the song was that there was no dad. I've never seen even a picture of mine, the bastard! FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

I was totally trippin' on that one too. I bought a ticket for the Prince concert in Gothenburg in '87 - which would have been my first Prince concert ever - but had a school final exam scheduled the same day, so I couldn't go I gave the ticket to a friend. She told me she had the time of her times. Oh, well... I made up for it by seeing Lovesexy twice. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

I am STILL pissed about the fact he didn't take that tour to the states. I caught Lovesexy too and, of course, loved it but it didn't make up for the fact that I didn't see SOTTs live. | |

Kat Onoma: Far From The Pictures - I was livin' at a pension when I started out in Copenhagen and this hot dude from Versailles, Francois, moved into the room next to mine. He was a straight motherfucker (but, of course) but I liked him just the same. We borrowed CD's off each other and I borrowed this album from him and really liked it, but of course it wasn't available in Denmark.
So when some years later I went to Paris on vacation, I immediately rushed to the nearest wrecka stew and bought it for myself. It's kinda like Ingrid Chavez, only rock. [This message was edited Fri Sep 12 7:59:02 PDT 2003 by scififilmnerd] FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

Gosh, someone rated this thread 5 stars?!
Thank you. And a lotta people has looked at this thread. So why aren't you all posting your all-time personal favorite albums? Come on, it's a good way to get to know each other better. (At least, I think that it is.) I read in a newspaper recently that you can tell a lot about people from their taste in music, and that is why one of the most often asked questions to persons you've just met is "what kinda music do you like?" For example, the article supposed that people who like rock music - like I do - are more willing to take risks. Louise Hoffsten: Beautiful, But Why? - A friend of mine who'd been a fan of hers since the 6 album, dragged me to a concert with her at the time of the release of this album. It was a wonderful performance from this swedish "rock bitch" and her band is deloverly too.
So i bought her albums and this one touched me the most because I was going through a period of serious heartache and the beautiful, but bitter heartaching songs on this album comforted me in my hour of need. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!
