Excuse me for being new to the Org. But I just visited the discussion forum on non-prince music and all I see are posts about Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Bjork etc. I wanna know if Prince fans have the shittiest taste in music or if its just me?

what you're gonna have to learn around here is that EVERYBODY is right all the time and WRONG pretty ALMOST much all of the time too.

The differences in age, race, and national and cultural backgrounds among us is phenominal. I don't think there is another artist out there that attracts so many different types of people.

So when you hear someone say they love Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson, you have to understand that you are probably reading a post from someone 18 or 19 years old, which hardly speaks to the varied musical tastes that other Prince fans may have. So unlike other artists, it's extremely difficult to lump all Prince fans together in a generalized way that you're trying to do with your post. Your logic just doesn't work with Prince fans.

Odd ~ I was just today thinking how diverse, informed and
"tasteful" Prince fans are in their musical selection and how much I have learned from them.
If you have an open mind Garnis, you really should go back and listen to Bjork again. You could be quite amazed. If you are still of the same opinion, at least you gave it a second try.
