anyone here like brazilian music?

i don't know exactly too much about what's good in brazilian music, but i've been listening to some samples of Preta Gil (Gilberto Gil's daughter) and she's pretty good.
i wanna know who/what are some of the best brazilian artists/styles to listen to?

You should try Antonio Carlos Jobim. I discovered him recently.

I'm not fimiliar with Brazilian music but I loved Sarah Vaughan's Brazilian Jazzy efforts(in the 70's and 80's periods) she did alot of Brazilian Jazz which I really like.

I'm sorry if you ment something else, tho!

I am from Brazil, i like brazilian music, but i prefer rock, funk and blues, and there are not many good bands of these styles here.

But i can give hints,

for melody and good harmony try DJAVAN
for r&b and great singing try ED MOTTA
for metal try Sepultura
for melodic metal try ANGRA (virtuosity)
for prince influence try MAX de Castro (or viana) i cant remember
TOM JOBIM for complex good music
TONINHO HORTA for harmonic jazzy virtuosity

And Collar Of Skin for some hard rock, ehhe just kidding biggrin
