Prince mention in Mya interview

Not sure if this is old news or not, but Mya sited Prince as on of the performers she admires and would like to work with. I'm not typing it all out. Go watch it here: http://channels.netscape....tv_nb.smil

Also, for all the fools that say she can't sing:

she talks about prince and rick james in Trace Magazine as well. it's a very different side of Mya i've never seen, she curses all over the interview even though before she said she was nervous about saying 'ass' in my love is like whoa. i guess she needs to be edgy to get attention away from Ashanti and Beyonce

MYA has always been edgy, she has always had the "fuck U" attitude going on ever since she came out in 1998. Its just now more in your face because of the songs and image being more sexier, but MYA has always had that side, its not a "marketing ploy.

Other than her "sophisticated Lady" joint which I really dig(Horn legend Jerry Hey is in there 2),,,she's out. Miss Jackson can smoke that ass when it comes 2 dancing nod

Mya is slowly creeping upwards. She is on her 3rd CD? 4th? She ain't goin' nowhere for a minute. The girl can sing. She ain't the best in the world, but she stomps all over weak voices like Ashanti. She's got skillz. Her competition is just a little too stff right now. She'll surface a bit more when the Beyonce hour is over. Oh, and the CD/calander marketing idea - GENIUS! She IS a package, but at least she has the singing/dancing skillz to BE a package. She's pretty well-rounded. Most of the others lack in one dept. or another. Aside from the highly under-rated Olivia, and Bey - she's a good contender for pop Princess.

Well I don't think that there is a such thing as a Beyonce' "hour." Beyonce is here to stay. Why is everyone so hesitant to admit that Beyonce' has the package? Everyone wants to give all the weak ones their props. Not saying that Mya is weak because she's not (she used to be), but I am saying that Beyonce' has everything that Mya does. And Mya shows just as much skin. It's just that Beyonce' has a little bit more to show.

while I think&feel Mya is Corny as a Artist I gotta say in her defense that She is a Smart Cookie.Marginal on the Music front but She has Her 3rd album out&also She makes Movies, does Commericals&Models&always seems to be able to keep Herself out there.so I give Her much Hustle Points despite Her Musical Short-Comings to me.
