Jada Pinkett Smith 
In the September 8, 2003 issue of People magazine's StarTracks pages: "Belting It Out LOS ANGELES Aug. 20 Jada Pinkett Smith owned the stage at the Grove shopping center while singing with Wicked Wisdom, her rock and soul band, which she formed two months ago. The group is working on their debut album, which is due in November." 
There is a photo of Jada during the performance and she seems to be enjoying herself... I've never heard her sing before, tho, so now I'm curious and looking forward to her band's album release.

I've seen a clip of her performing with her band. Her voice is just OK. I wouldn't buy her records. I don't really call that singing ... more like stylistic talking... Anyway on Will Smith's last album she sang on the song with him. Fans raved over that track, but I was unimpressed when I heard it.
I do admire how she's not promoting her name and is trying to make the band successful on its own merit. | |

Yeah...I was remembering an episode of "A Different World" in which Jada's character (Lena?) was doing a Faternity step thing, and I thought that ain't it...lol...I mean, as a good example of her musical talent  So, I had just better wait and see and hear her elsewhere...
