Also, about the wigs...
Beyonce has long beautiful hair. She doesn't always wear wigs and pieces. However, I've read that lots of women who are frequently in the media wear false hair as protection --so their real tresses won't become damaged with all the styling needed for appearance, photo shoots, etc. For years the girl had horrible extensions, which appears to have allowed her hair to grow even longer. I've seen performances of Crazy in Love where the fans are blowing her hair and you can see the hairlines and scalp in places (no track lines) and it's clear you're seeing her real hair. | |

He's not fickle, he's experimenting... He's not lying, he changed his mind... I don't think he meant to confuse anyone... Oh, he's just being playful when he said... Prince can do no wrong on the .org, yet eveyone else has to live by a different set of rules. BULLSHIT. Bey can wear wigs and make-up. Why? Because she's a GIRL! In the REAL world, GIRLS USUALLY DO. Some guys like it, some don't. Most of us don't care either way. Regardless to what's said and done, the sista is doin' the damn thang! She's not the greatest, but she's growing into herself and her own style. Hate all ya like, but she's at the top right now, and to be honest, I'd rather see her there than Ashitty, Pink, Britney, Christina, Michelle Branch, boring Brandy and 85% of the other chicks out there trying to do the same thing. [This message was edited Thu Sep 4 14:36:18 PDT 2003 by lameless] didn't catch the Baby Boy thing in it's entirety yet (we're always 2 singles behind in europe)...but, many people who have worked in photography, televison, film, or in theatre can tell you that the make-up entertainers wear when they are working is not really the same make up they wear in their "normal" day to day life. when folks go a bit overboard that's just a bit of extra color "for the cameras", that's all. those people usually don't walk around their homes or run short errands looking like this. they're usually relatively barefaced and would probably scare the heck out of you with they way they look before their 2-hour- make-up-jobs-before-pick-a-public-appearance! i have seen hundreds of people in my life (for my job) that look CRAZY before they have to be "on", and that make-up thing is really just part of a uniform that they put on to do their job as an entertainer... | |

i, personally think beyonce has a great voice, I'm just not into her solo stuff, and I feel that having people ike jay z and sean paul ruin her stuff, but that's an entirely different subject.
If she wants to dress sexy, fine. Let's not forget Prince during the dirty mind era. The reason he did it was the same reason she's doing it...because they can do it and it gets attention. If you wanna sell records, you need attention. Everyone in the biz has "gimmicks", whether it be rumors, dressing provocatively(sp?), singing about sex, cussing in their music, the ist of examples go on and on. As long as what they're selling has substance I really have no problem. Whether I'm a fan of any performer/artist/whatever I still manage to respecct them. If you can actually play an instrument, write your own songs, have a good voice, whatver, I have no problem with them. ~KiKi | |

the only time i have really liked her hair was in the BABY Boy video where she's dancing on the beach with some backup dancers, she was rockin the 'fro. but she is a very beautiful woman and no one can deny that, i think over time she will sophisticate her look ....
