Eurythmics to release all back albums with B-sides and rarities!

From www.ethrill.net:

"UPCOMING (RE-)RELEASES BY D&A
Eurythmics albums and concert dvd

After a small summer news hole I'm excited to bring you sensational new information:

As confirmed by BMG to ethrill.net all Eurythmics studio albums released by their company (In the garden, Sweet dreams, Touch, Be yourself tonight, Revenge, Savage, We too are one, Peace) are going to be re-relased on October 13.

Each album has been remastered under the supervision of Dave Stewart and will contain bonus tracks compiled with the assistence of Dave and Annie - b-sides, remixes and previously unreleased material. All albums are released in deluxe digipack packaging as well as standard jewel case, both including also refreshed and never-before-seen alternative
artwork.

Obviously the release of the 22 track doubble album with unheard Eurythmics material Dave Stewart announced for the end of this year [see the 2002 interview with Dave Stewart] has been cancelled to sell the tracks with the album they belong to. More details as well as tracklists and links to pre-order your copies will follow here soon."

This is something I've been anticipating for a LONG time! I can not wait for this to see the light of day. woot!

So let me get this straight: They WERE going to release all those unreleased tracks on a double CD, but then decided, aww, we could rake in a FORTUNE if we just remaster the original discs and scatter the tracks onto THOSE discs.

Remastering PEACE? Didn't that come out like, 10 months ago?

Don't get me wrong - I'm a HUGE fan, and will probably buy some of those remasters, but, I ain't buying them all, but I DAMN SURE woulda bought the double CD. So now I'm going to have to wait, and then download those tracks off of the internet illegally, rather than blow the $200 in getting all those CDs.

There you have it. The industry forcing another innocent soul into the chasm of illegal downloading.

OK all you Eurythmics fans. Back in the 80's they did a video that I cannot remember the name to. The only thing I remember about it is it was a upbeat song, and Annie had on a Leopard print outfit with the matching hat. Does that ring a bell with anyone? Anyone out there remember the song that was or the video?
I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

RIGHT BY YOUR SIDE.

It's from their 1983 album "Touch"

You have it right. However, there will be many more songs this way, I imagine, with 8 albums re-released. Plus, most of those albums need to be remastered. I agree on "Peace" though. It's a great album, but it sounds fine as is.

It doesn't appear so. sad I think there would be some contract issues with that. It's a shame, because that's one of my very favorites.
