Symphony Or Damn is considered by many to be his best album. A very diverse, punchy set of songs with a few gorgeous ballads thrown in. Vibrator is not quite as consistant but contains his best ever vocal work. Holding On To You and If You Go Before Me are perhaps his finest performances. Wildcard is a bit hit and miss and a tad too long but still contains many fine moments. In my opinion he hasn't made a truly bad album.

I did have Symphony Or Damn but can't find it!
What R your views on Neither Fish though I really like it. Was V amused 2 read the bit in the liner notes about 'not weeding the mushrooms out of your garden'
Also there seems 2 be a Prince influence going on. TTDs use of strings reminds me of ATWIAD and Purple Rain. I mention those cos the arrangements on Parade are a lot more lush.

I'm brave enough to admit that Neither Fish Nor Flesh is my fave TTD album. Hideously underrated. As for influences there's a little James Brown/Smokey Robinson/Michael Jackson/Stevie Wonder/Prince in his work. All good.

You know, I'm very glad that someone brought up another TTD thread. I just caught the 'Sign Your Name' video a few days ago. I realized that there was a theme to all of his "Hardline" videos. The "Wishing Well" video began with the artist formerly known as Terence meeting this girl, striking up a good relationship with her, and sleeping with her. Then, in the "Dance Little Sister" video, we see that the couple has started a family together. And for some reason, the Sign Your Name vid shows Sananda's wife leaving TTD and taking their child. "Au Revior, Terence", she says lol. And then, you know what happens from there.

I'll be waiting for someone to tell me "duh".

I love TTD as well, and Neither Fish Nor Flesh did it for me. When I heard This Side of Love and saw a clip of the video on MTV news, I knew it was a recording I had to own.
