I saw her yesterday. She was sick. She's got an amazing band. She took "Fool of Me" to church and cooked it greens and cornbread.

Her new LP, "Comfort Girl," is out 10/14 and she's got another one coming out in January.

Her new album is called "Comfort Woman" and it is due to come out on Oct,14th. It is on Maverick and she has a jazz album coming out early next year on Verve Records. The project is called Papillion.

If you're refering to the gay bass player; I'm going to catch her when she play in NYC with my favorite band, Soulive. I can't wait for this conert.

I've been wanting to try to catch her live anyway--I'm pretty sure she'll be round Seattle. Thanks for the headsup!

so is she over that whole angry lesbian schtick she was pulling the last couple years? i was into seeing her every year and then the show started to get real...uhh, unemotional and dark..just her spewing anger..

Co-sign. When it comes to great artists, Me'shell is picking up Prince's torch. A lot of male artists position themselves to be Prince's peer musically, but Me'shell is the only one I've seen who can match the musicianship and creativity Prince demonstrated in his heyday.



I agree. Cookie to me is part SOTT, part "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised," and part "Nation of Millions." But Bitter is her best to date.
