Andre 3000-She Lives In My Lap (A Camille Tribute) Okay, not really a tribute, but this is like the first track on disk two of the new Outkast album for The Love Below.. and Im not gonna lie, It sounds like Camille couldda done this track.. It is off the hook and probably one the strongest tracks on that album.

true. i'm already getting a bit tired of everybody comparing dude with prince, but hey, this is prince.org, right? and i must admit i thought about camille when i first heard this song. it's absolutely cool! was hoping dre would do a solo project soon and my dreams immediately became reality. how about that? ..and probably one the strongest tracks on that album.
that's your guess, right? how could you possibly know? don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine

The funny thing, though, is that this is not the first song Dre has recorded in a speeded up voice. Check out "Red Velvet" from Stankonia and "Synthesizer" from Aquimini. Very "Camille-like."

Something about him reminds me of George Clinton. I don't know how to describe it tho!

well, how about 'toilet tisha' and 'stanklove' with its altered vocals--cool, right? and how dre starts and ends 'slum beautiful' with that half rapping, half singing shit--too cool. i'm a fan. no doubt. don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine

I always thought he did a really good version of meshing together Prince, George, and even Sly in "Toilet Tisha." The drums are very Prince-like, singing like George, and that bassline has Larry Graham slapped all over it!

Seems like the overly critical people are the sheep now days. It takes guts to admit that you like something. -Rdhull ...it ain't where ya from, it's where ya at... - Rakim
