Anyway, people are saying Madonna did this out of desperation, for attention, for money, etc. This is Madonna's nature. She's being true to herself. I just think they are all exhibitionists and highly sexual women who like drama. I don't consider that bad -- I ain't no Puritan!-- especially if you deliver a first-rate display. Now if the show had back-fired (as I fully expected when I heard the inital line-up including Lopez) it would have been terribly desperate and loathesome.

When asked to perform, Madonna tapped into that second nature and finished what she started a long time ago on that stage. She went further than rolling around in the wedding dress -- which will go down in pop history. She trumped that be switching sex roles and consummating a marriage between herself and current pop culture.

It was a brilliant stylistic move.

I just fucking loved it.

Britney and Christina as Madonna's bridebitches, and Missy Elliot as the groom. Girls kissing girls. Girls groping girls. Same-sex brides. Genderfucking. And the Fab 5 freaking out about it in the audience. On MTV, in prime time, and did I mention it was MADONNA?! Oh geezus, it was beautiful.

And Christina plus 20lbs and a bottle of hair dye? Fabufuckinglicious.

Loved it.

Yeah, the sex was awesome. Too bad "Hollywood" sucks. It's funny how the only memorable thing from her performance had nothing to do with her music. Very reminiscent of her 1984 VMA performance. I don't think she's desperate...she's always made a name for herself by being risque.

That hollywood song is HORRID.

Thank god she had Britney and Christina up there to make it worth sitting through. Yeah that's right. Don't ask me to stand.

it was an okay performance, i just didn't see the big deal in her kissing them, it wasn't even a frence britney rolled her tongue back. i'm re-watching the show mostly to see chris rock's jokes cause someone said he was saying some mean stuff about R. Kelly and luther so i'm a bit curious
