"Madonna to flash her Box for Christmas"


Madonna will release a box set for Christmas featuring both CDs and DVDs highlighting her entire career.

The 4 disc collection is expected to be released in November and will feature two CDs and two DVDs.

Of the CDs,disc one will be a 20-track greatest hits collection and disc two will feature the best of her remixes.

DVD one is expected to be a live performance and DVD two will feature rare video footage and television footage.

Before the music though,Madonna's first children's book "The English Roses" will be released.It is described as a "story about feeling green with envy,blue with loneliness,pink with embarassment,purple with rage,and how to find true-blue friends.And a few red-hot dance moves".

"The English Roses" will be in stores on September 15.

I'm mostly excited about the two DVDs that will be included.The two CDs sound kinda disappointing,especially if they're not gonna contain any unreleased tracks.

Yes,'Greatest Hits Volume 2' was released in 2001.And since we already have a previous hits compilation from her ('The Immaculate Collection'),this new 20-track compilation is totally unnecessary.I was hoping for a multi-disc set that features the hits,plus a ton of rarities and outtakes.

I was hoping for all her single edits to be remastered and included. I thought she would expand upon Immaculate and GHV2, not wittle it down. This would be a good chance to add stuff like "Angel", "Dress You Up", "Who's That Girl?", "Causing A Commotion", "Oh Father", "Bad Girl", "Nothing Really Matters", the list goes on and on. I would much prefer a 3 disc singles set and 1 disc of rarities. Then a 2 disc video set sold separately containing all her videos and best tv appearances like "Best Of Bowie". Oh well. I'll probably buy it anyway.

And worst of all this probably means that "American Life" is done. This fucking sucks.

Maddy should have gone for it, fuck the price! a luxury five or six CD set, with outakes, demo's and rarities would have been great.By all means release a DVD set, but separately.

This and the GAP ad make it look like Madonna's just after easy $'s.

it should be 3 CD's of greatest hits... done right, not the way any of her others have been. they're all incomplete or tampered with in some way. and a 4th disc of all of the rarities and outtakes.

and a seperate 2 DVD video collection. complete.

The children's book idea sounds intriguing. God, I remember in 97 getting really excited over the announcment that Prince and Mayte were gonna write a children's book and album called "Happy Tears." I had this crazy image of reading it to my future children as a bedtime story.

Sometimes I wonder if her album would've done a lot better if the original video for AL was released. I think it would've garnered more interest.

Too bad about the boxset, sounds like a wasted opportunity. Something for the real casual fans to buy, I guess.

Sounds really dissapointing! And I would laugh if she put AL on the hits CD. She knows that isn't right! It should be two discs of hits (at least) and cant the remixes. And "Blonde Ambition" should be released seperately. I really hope they don't totally rip off people and make the live DVD The Drownded World Tour thing. I was actually at the very show and loved it but never bothered to watch it when I taped it and only glanced at the DVD.

In other Madonna news,it is rumored that the entire 'Blond Ambition' show will be included on one of the DVDS from her upcoming box set.
