I was hearing Hot.97 this morning and I heard alot of complains from callers about Erykah Badu recieving the Aretha Franklin Soul Train Award(and actualy thought that Ashanti deserved it last year mo' than Erykah deserve it this year) simply becoz Erykah "didn't deliever alot last year other than "Love Of MY Life" which they also think its whack too".

How absured is that? People were on the streets crying their hearts out when Ashanit recieved the Aretha Franklin award and thought it should be given 2 "talented acts" and when they GAVE it 2 a "talented act"(Erykah) they still complained about it.

Some folks are neva statisfied with absloutly NOTHING!

I'm not really a big fan of Erykah. I like "Bag Lady" and "On and On". I do have "Mama's Bag" cd.. or whatever it's called. But I would agree that she deserves it more than Ashanti. Now about that fro-hat she was wearing. WTF?!?!?! :DISBELIEF: :LOL:

I liked that song she did from Brown Sugar, but I think in terms of pure achievement, technically Beyonce worked circles around Badu over the past year. Not to say she should have won it either, but she's more deserving than Erykah where the last 12 months are concerned.
