Turn The Beat Around by Vicki Sue Robinson Of course,I had heard this song on the radio for years,and thought "nice song,great to dance to", but never REALLY listened to it.
So,the other day,I took the time to hear the lyrics & vocals. And now I just love it..although the chorus is kinda annoying,its still pretty good. My favorite part is when she sings "Flute player,play your flute cause I know that you want to get your thing off,but you see I made up my mind about it,got to be the rhythm,no doubt about it"  I DON'T WANT TO BE NORMAL,because normal is part of the status quo,which I don't want to be a part of- Tori Amos | |

One of the best Disco jams of all-time.Vicki Sue Robinson passed away a few years ago,but her song will live forever.It was covered by Gloria Estefan in the early 90s. | |

That's so sad, never knew that. But I have to say, GLORIA ESTEFAN fucking ruined that song for me! 
I can't even hear the original and me and my woman just cringe when we hear it, we have to turn the radio off and curse Gloria for adding her soulless voice to the song...wait, no Gloria added NOTHING to the song, she basically ripped it off. And the "she ka bang, bee, bang bang, bang" thing is almost mind numbing...  | |
