MJ: You Were There Who remembers when MJ sang 'You Were There' (live!  ) for Sammie Davis Jr.? Anyway, you can download it here, the song is just good, but the vocal performance and somehow the emotion are great, i think.

Back when he performed that in '89, i turned to see my mom and sister crying their eyes out.Amazing performance.
Sammy died quite soon after that tribute concert i think. |

Mike just stood right there on stage and sung...with NO dancing!!! Awesome!!! In fact, this kind of raw, emotional energy minus all of the polish and sheen is what Mike needs to brings on his studio recordings. | |
