Wonderful innovators! I can't think of a song of theirs I don't like. "Speak and Spell," "Some Great Reward," "Black Celebration" and "Violator" are masterpieces.

"Little 15" nod Though I was very very young at the time.. innocent The "Music for the Masses" cd holds a lot of memories for me. I love that album. "Violater", "Black Celebration", etc...all brilliant.

I recently picked up David Gahan's solo album "Paper Monsters" with bonus dvd. love IT!!! I highly recommend this if you don't already own it!

Saw em live cause a friend won us tickets... I was really not a huge fan. cut to me mid-concert blown away by how incredible they are! of all the concerts i have been to, i have never once seen the crowd sing along thing go exactly right. you know what i am talking about? where they go "YOU SING!" and the crowd does. When I saw prince he did it with raspberry beret. they played "enjoy the silence" and stopped halfway through, just stopped playing the instruments, stopped singing, and EVERYONE in the crowd was in pitch, and on the same rhythm. it was the only time i have ever seen a sing along work perfectly. we were on the floor center with a lot of the crowd behind us, and it sounded like a chorus of several thousand angels... unbelievable.

and "personal jesus" tore the house down!

Next to Prince, DM are one of my all-time favorites! In fact, I've always thought that the two artists have so much in common...like rejecting the status quo and having a "fuck you industry" attitude; "fuck machismo" stance. I love it. Like many people believe they are gay, many people believe Prince is gay. NOT TRUE!

I also have to say that they are VERY nice gentlement. I've met them twice...very down to earth and friendly.

Gore's album rocks! Don't have Dave's. I am a Gore fanatic!

Theres something about an audience singing that can only be appreciated if you are there. On TV or audio it sounds kinda corny but when you are there in this sea of people surrounded by voices it can send chills up your spine or bring you to tears.

it's gonna sound lame, but it made me cry. it just felt like everyone in the place was connected to one another. does that sound really stupid?
