JTHAD: I believe she is touring. Not heavily though. Unfortunately I'm not sure of the dates. Try AOL..Just type her name in and usually it'll give you a listing. LOL, and your signatue reminded me of part of the show.

She was singing a part of her song "Affection"; lyrics are:
"Don't matter if you're young or old, don't matter if you're straigt or gay...everybody needs love" She told the audience.. "They wouldn't play this song on the radio because I said the word 'GAY'. Now they have Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on television. I guess I was ahead of my time." :LOL:

Thanks for the 'good luck wishes' everyone. One last thing if I may. Meeting Jody was the best but it also has a special meaning to me. My friend Nicholas who passed away a few years back was also a huge fan of hers, and would always ask me to send him stuff. I always think of him when I play her music. So in some strange way I think this was a gift from him as well. :WINK:

Now this is the best, heartfelt thread I have read in ages. Jody Watley is truly an amazing artist/singer/dancer. Definitely listened to her while growing up, :shame: I haven't followed her recently. I am a huge/gigantic listener of Shalimar/Howard Hewitt.

I think I shall see if she is headed to Phoenix anytime soon, she is beautiful.

Midnight Lounge has been one of my favorite CD's this year. I hope she comes to DC soon.
