I love you for picking this pop gem. I LOVE Crystal Blue Persuasion. It has that psychedelic, trippy sound at the end. That song was mentioned in a newspaper article as a "summer" song. I think that group is underrated. Not that they are classic necesarily, but they've had some gems over the years. Altho I only have their Greatest Hits, it includes many gems:

I Think We're Alone Now
Crimson & Clover (another cool, trippy song)
Mony Mony (everybody should know this one, even if it's the Billy Idol version)

Yeah but the song for this thread would be on my all-time list. I heard that the title came from the Bible. Who knows if they were on something at the time or what.

"Look over younder, what do you see.
The sun is arising most definitely.
A new day is comin' Oooohwhoo!
People are changin' Ain't it beautiful?
Ooohhwhooo
Crystal blue persuasion"

"They'll be peace and good, brotherhood
Crystal blue persuasion."

Now I'll have that song in my head all day.
"Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
"It's just my imagination, once again running away with me."

Weird. I saw this thread but immediately thought about "Crimson & Clover", and Joan Jett & the Blackheart's version, no less. "Midnight Confessions" also came to mind.
