The Cure

A Forest

Come closer and see
See into the trees
Find the girl
If you can
Come closer and see
See into the dark
Just follow your eyes
Just follow your eyes

I hear her voice
Calling my name
The sound is deep
In the dark
I hear her voice
And start to run
Into the trees
Into the trees

Into the trees

Suddenly I stop
But I know it's too late
I'm lost in a forest
All alone
The girl was never there
It's always the same
I'm running towards nothing
Again and again and again and again

I have a live version of this song that is just amazing!!

Gotta Love everything about THE CURE!!!

I'm in a very "going down memory lane" mood today...forgive me... smile

Have you seen the Trilogy-DVD's yet? Great performances, especially the Pornography-Set and the encores!
By the way - PRINCE -, this is how a DVD-Set should be!

I also like 'The Cure in Orange'- Video from 1986, funny how the masses do the 'Pogo' front of stage evillol

Jaq!!! I so miss talking to you!

Yes.

Do you have a date for that version of a forest?

The one from july 1992 is about 15 mins long and ... hell yeah.

The trilogy dvd set makes my day. Fucking great. I especially love the version of "the kiss" that ends the last show on disc 2.

p.s.

"those of us not in the Purple Kool-aid indused coma SAY SO!!" .. things like that are what have always made me adore you.

They're my flavor of the month at the moment.

Kyle from South Park said it best (when Robert Smith saved the world): "Disintergration is one of the greatest albums ever!!"

Quite simply, they are the best band ever in my opinion. nod

Great choice of song, Vashti- "A Forest" is a classic.

"Seventeen Seconds," "Faith," "Pornography," "Japanese Whispers," "The Top," "The Head on the Door," "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me," "Disintegration" and "BloodFlowers" are all perfect albums.

There is a new version of "A Forest" remixed by German Techno Stars Blank and Jones with new vocals by Robert Smith. I only heard it once on the radio and I was shocked. How could they turn such a great song into something really horrible? I really love The Cure but sometimes they make me wonder why they release absolutely stunning work first while their next release is total crap like the "Mixed up" Project or "Wild Mood Swings" and now the new version of "A Forest".
