I am entertained by what she puts out usually, but I don't attribute it to her like I do princes stuff to him...

Seriously, she's got an ear for what the people like, she can market herself like nobody's business... I would call her a talented performer/entertainer/businesswoman. I'm not sure where I'd classify her musically though

I totally agree. She is a lousy singer and she can't act at all. Her movies are all crap with the exception of Evita. I can't stand the technical sound of her music over the past few years. She is not beautiful at all, she is just so pampered and has the best make up artists and products along with the nicest clothes, therefore she looks more attractive than she really is. Her arms are disgusting, they're more muscular than most mens. She is so phoney, the way she talks etc is sickening. The only props I will give her is this...she is a smart business woman and went after what she wanted. She didn't need talent to do it, she just used the shock factor and the world bought it. As far as a musician goes, she sucks!

and just the fact that she has survived decades and can comeback with a number 1 album is proof of it.

99% of her 80's graduating class is either extinct or totally irrelevant to modern music as it is TODAY

save for P, bruce springsteen, david bowie, and herself.

yes she's a sucky actress. yes she sounds like a bad kareoke singer most of the time

she's more of a total package than just one thing to point out that she's good at.

look at P. his movies suck ass if you're lookin at it from a non-fan point of view. he's no better at acting than she is.

if you were to judge his talent based on that, then we probably wouldn't be here in this forum

I Respect Her Track Record&Think She is Talented as far as Being a Singles Artist&Has Strong Musical Sense&what to do.but having said that She is Vastly Overrated over the past Decade&Change.but She is Cut from the same Hustle Cloth as Suge Knight&Especially Puffy.

well, she's talented enough to remain an important figure in pop culture. i mean, after all, we are all sitting on prince .org and talking about madonna! honestly, prince is not as relevant in pop music nor is michael jackson. even janet (whom i think is a hell of a lot more talented) is not of the same stature. I know when i talk about madonna's new cd people don't say "oh, she still makes music" or "she's still around?". That is the common reply when i talk about new prince material. yeah, it's pretty sad but it's true. madonna is talented enough to know the game. that's why we're on a message board for another artist discussing her relevance.

Madonna is talented...she's a great promoter of her work, which doesn't aquire talent skills, but I've been a fan of hers for as long as I have Prince... and she's a great entertainer/dancer- she may not dance as much as she once did, but her love for dance and its art from tribal to latin and freestyle from her Blonde Ambition days to the electronic rave kids dancing...details a great dancer... her voice is on the same level as any of todays hottest singers, Jewel,Janet,Sheryl Crow and Michelle Branch, so she's not horrible vocally, anyone who can sing EVITA and Ray Of Light songs, can sing!
She's not the best singer or dancer, but she can give those girls a run for their money, just to hear her and nikki & donna sing in harmony on 'Girlie Show' shows her ability to sing on key, plus she plays piano and guitar, and I'm not saying just recent, because she played piano as a kid and then guitar, but the business molded her into a dance pop queen, so she hadn't played instruments until now after 20 years!

Madonna is a great artist, like it or not!
