Album Of The Moment (8/20/03): EW & F, "Head To The Sky" (1973) hi, dahlings!
the summer of 2003 has been like the Summer of Discovering All The Bomb-Assed Albums for me, seriously. i've been goin to record stores all over mpls within the past few months and comin across albums that i either thought i'd never find anywhere, or ones that i've been on the hunt for. welp, head to the sky is one of those albums that fit the latter, and i just found a copy this afternoon. i've been listenin to it on my turntable as i'm typin this, and it's just the shit! i've loved the title track ever since i wuz little and it wuz all i'd heard from this album up till now. there ain't nothin wrong with any song on this album, it's all just wonderful. y'know the weirdest thing about me findin head to the sky today? i wuz on the bus and on my way to the record store and i called my father and let him know what i wuz up to. gettin this album must've been one helluva omen, cuz my father's the one who turned me on to earth, wind & fire in the first place. he's a huge fan of those guys!! next time i talk to 'im he'll be surprised that i found this when i did. speak your piece on this album, ya'll! | |
