I Miss At The Drive-in I really do. It's like, I got into them when they released their last album, Relationahip of Command...and then it ended. I'm really not into much of the modern rock, but they were just a diamond in the rough. THEY KICKED ASS!!! Now what we have to deal with are the 2 spinoffs, Sparta & The Mars Volta. Those projects are not bad (in fact they're quite good), but it doesn't have the same sort of greatness as At The Drive-in. Who else misses these dudes? one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
The Mars Volta is fantastic also. Im not all that huge on Sparta though they are good. If you get a chance to see The Mars Volta, make sure you go. I saw them when they toured with The Anniversary and they tore the roof off of the little club they played. Fucking amazing. My wife still has an ATDI sticker on her car. It is all faded but it will remain until we get rid of the vehicle. Do you have the older ATDI albums? like Casino In/Out and Acrobatic Tenement? Both of those are fantastic. A little more rough than Relationship of Command but still chock full of great music. "I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum"

There were some cool tracks there, but didn't hit me as hard as their last one. Nevertheless, they rocked. Hey, Resistor, which member are you rooming with? That must be pretty cool to live with a rock star. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE. | |
