I guess he´s kinda like a Sly Stone character,
but I read that he toured in the 90's with a blues band.
I don´t think he did any interview or appearances
during the rerelease of "Inspiration Information",
which is a really cool album in the mists of
Sly´s "There´s a riot going on".

He appeared on Conan O'Brien on May 1, 2001 and on Letterman on May 3 or 4, 2001.

However, his comeback appearance was described as an 'out-and-out disaster' in July, 2001

I read an interview with him not to long ago and he was doing a lot of rambling, I also heard his performances were nothing really to go out and see. He did say he planned on releasing a some more stuff, but those words sounded really hollow.

Beyonce sampled and used a lot of his music on her new CD so even if he is keeping a low profile (or chilling with Sly and Arthur Lee) he has some nice songwritng income coming to him.
