Back in 1998, Busta Rhymes was hot off the success of his sophomore LP "When Disaster Strikes" and the classic club banger "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See." Janet was also riding high with her album The Velvet Rope and her latest single "I Get Lonely" -- the remix with Blackstreet was also tearing up radio. Released in the Spring of '98, this song was all over urban radio and did major damage. It was the #1 R&B/Hip Hop song for 3 straight weeks and peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. This single was very important for Busta, it positioned him as a major player in hip hop and solidified his hitmaking abilities. The video for this song (directed by Hype Williams) was extremely expensive costing well over $1 million dollars becoming one of the most expensive hip hop videos ever made.
