80's classic of the day: New Order "True Faith" I feel so extraordinary
Something's got a hold on me I get this feeling I'm in motion A sudden sense of liberty I don't care 'cause I'm not there And I don't care if I'm here tomorrow Again and again I've taken too much Of the things that cost you too much I used to think that the day would never come I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun My morning sun is the drug that brings me near To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear I used to think that the day would never come That my life would depend on the morning sun... When I was a very small boy, Very small boys talked to me Now that we've grown up together They're afraid of what they see That's the price that we all pay Our valued destiny comes to nothing I can't tell you where we're going I guess there was just no way of knowing I used to think that the day would never come I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun My morning sun is the drug that brings me near To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear I used to think that the day would never come That my life would depend on the morning sun... I feel so extraordinary Something's got a hold on me I get this feeling I'm in motion A sudden sense of liberty The chances are we've gone too far You took my time and you took my money Now I fear you've left me standing In a world that's so demanding I used to think that the day would never come I'd see delight in the shade of the morning sun My morning sun is the drug that brings me near To the childhood I lost, replaced by fear I used to think that the day would never come That my life would depend on the morning sun... One of those songs I can listen to all the time... ahhh..the old Club Days!! New Order is just a great band, period... The Prince.org Photo Album http://www.purplehouse.nl...ery/Jacqui

New Order is timeless, another favorite of mine is 'Regret'.

Reminds me of watching 120 Minutes on MTV back when it was good. I still remember the video for "True Faith" with the guys in the funny looking costumes beating each other up. Classic video. Then "It's the end of the world" by REM would come on and something by Guadacanal Diary or something like that. Late 80's early 90's college rock was the best.
who was the host of 120 Mins then? Kevin somethingorother. I cannot remember. "I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum"

Seems like the overly critical people are the sheep now days. It takes guts to admit that you like something. -Rdhull ...it ain't where ya from, it's where ya at... - Rakim

Great song, but it's bettered by its B-side, "1963."
New Order is a classic band with fantastic songs. My favorites are: "World" (1993) "Vanishing Point" (1989) "Blue Monday" (1983) "Dreams Never End" (1981) "Temptation" (1982) "Ceremony" (1981) "1963" (1987) "Age of Consent" (1983) "Your Silent Face" (1983) "Leave Me Alone" (1983) "Run" (1989) "Regret" (1993) "Crystal" (2001) The list goes on and on.

I have the 12" vinyl single for true faith ... yes, has 1983 on the flip, and it is excellent, but so is true faith. .. I hated that song when it first came out, funny enough, but i love it now. Keep your headphones on.

Nice list. Many of my faves are in there as well. I believe "True Faith" was the first song I really knew by them. I was intrigued but late to catch on to this remarkable band.
