...is GREAT? I love her latest effort. Many people that I talk to HATE her voice...I love her voice(there's something cool about it to me) & I love the music on her latest CD...Am I alone on the org?

No, baby, you are NOT alone! I am a HUGE Macy fan---have all 3 of her cd's AND a special limited edition with sessions from the first cd. As far as I'm concerned, everything on the first one is fantastic, but I love "Why Didn't You Call Me? and "Sexomatic Venus Freak." How about "Gimme All Your Lovin' Or I Will Kill You" on The Id. And the latest is outstanding as well. I love "She Don't Write Songs About You" and "She Ain't Right For You."
For some people, she is an acquired taste, but I have several friends who like her.
I met her briefly at the first celly, too. She seemed to just drop by (she wasn't scheduled to perform), hung out for a few and ended up doing a brief set. Lots of people didn't know who she was then. I was just singing along with the chorus to "I Try!" lol

i have enjoyed the new disc but...the girl is on broken record mode...

why does she equate "old school" with quality??...until she breaks th mold of " lets re-invent the past by rehashing it" she wont be anything but a female Lenny Kravitz...

The sad part is, she is a much better songwriter than Lenny...her tunes rock!! but the retro-jam and the lush stringed ballads are running thin...

mix it up a bit macy...

afro edit!!

Cool! That should help her new CD get some promotion. With a strong second single and video, her career just might survive after all.

I dig Macy Gray fully... Her albums are just lush and beautiful.. cool, sexy and fun.. Psycotic but trippy...

My favorite cd by far is The ID.. that cd is her masterpiece.

I got all three of her albums plus her latest single and the Still single. nice stuff.. Hope she keeps her music crazy and trippy like she is doin.. very nice job.

{LOL}...during the old version of the org, someone once said that if Macy ever clears her throat her career would be OVER instantaneously.
