Singer Mariah Carey is being tipped to sing the theme tune for Bond 21.

Bond fanatic Mariah agreed on condition she was given a cameo part, like Madonna in Die Another Day.

Bond 21, which will definitely star Pierce Brosnan as 007 for the last time, will be out in 2005.

As yet no story has been decided as the team are concentrating on a spin- off film featuring Halle Berry's character Jinx. A source said: "Mariah has had meetings with producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson.

"She was asked if she'd consider singing the theme tune for Bond 21. Mariah said she wanted a part in the new film although the story hasn't been discussed yet."

Hopefully, Mariah will help us forget Madonna's souless Die Another Day and bring back the big vocal style of former tunes like Goldfinger, Moonraker, Diamonds Are Forever by Shirley Bassey, or Tina Turner's Goldenye.

Mariah plays Glasgow's SECC on October 25.
